Coincidentally the Toy Dolls along with John Mayall and a few other well known bands are doing a gig where I live in Prague next month I'll ask them for an update on the stolen bass. :) if I get the chance. I have met Olga the front man before so it's not impossible. :)

The band were quite successful got on the tv etc but when they split the guitarist did a gig and ''borrowed'' a guitar a Burns Flight he also stole one from the Toy Dolls who he was also playing for. I believe they had a number 1 in the UK. I think he may still owe them for a bass. He was a talented but thieving player ironically his wife's dad was a police inspector.

That's great, as a Basildon guy that was a Southend Ted in those days (70s), We loved them, thought they lived south Wales, maybe not. They were the highlight of Saturday night in the pier bar on pier hill Southend... happy days, there then to Baz cafe on the front and fall asleep on the beach. They were the best, Cheers tonyswww
