Discovered this band by accident over 20 years ago. We were playing the same club (Boston's in Tempe) the night after them, just came down to check it out and have a beer. Heard one song and stayed for their whole set. If I remember right, it was right after they released Glyph. Incredible band. One of the best live acts I've ever seen. Never had the pleasure of playing a show with them, but lost count of all the times I drove out to Hollywood Alley to see them. Everyone should know this band.

I saw Clutch open for Deftones in like 2004 in Seattle, and the dude seemed totally strung out. Ruined the show for me, and left a terrible taste in my mouth for the band. :(
