I mean literally played as a song in the episode, like they did every episode. They hint to it a few times, but it never is played out with Murray. It seems like more than a few times they start it up, then just hint it or give a taste. It just feels like one big tease.

if you knew your flight of the conchords you'd know that this song was featured, both in subject matter and actual song, in the second season, episode 8: "new zealandtown". the bus driver in this song is actually the prime minister of new zealand, who drives a bus at one point in the episode. also featuring a woman named paula who seemed to have a past with the prime minister. they also play the song during the credits of this episode

I was really disappointed Murray didn't drive a bus during this song. It was hinted BIG TIME like it was going to happen, then just dropped off almost purposely. I was super disappointed when the show ended without this song.
