While calling this "post-black metal" is stupid (avant-garde would be a better descriptor), this album was indeed at least 5-10 years ahead of its time. Good stuff. Didn't expect to hear this sort of black metal from a 1995 release!!

Before the trend started? In 1995 the trend had already begone it's march through out Europe. I started playing black metal in 1994...and I'm not from Norway. I had this record, but I was true black metal back then, so I sold it...haha. But actually it sounds pretty good compared to the year of birth.

@ivenstein dont forget forgotten woods or capathian full moon and some others, just a few good quality bands there used to be. in the woods is my fave (the 1st cd)

where are all those original and pure bands of the early and mid nighties? i am truly afraid its only "nature" and "pagan" bands which remain but they are neither pagan nor nature at all. just b league shit fleurety, zyklon b, forgotten woods, enslaved, emperor and more.....
