It seems like whoever recorded/copied the song didn't expect the longer ending. That could becthe reason the sound starts fading then comes back up when it became apparent that the song had little bit more to it.

withouyt Stevie it would have been Fleetwood Hack and noone woulda cared just like Widowmaker( a band who woulda made it but for never breaking the mold)

Steve Stevens

This is definitely a great cut and it is a terrible shame that it didn't make the final track listing on Mirage but I think most of you were wrong for saying that Stevie selections on Mirage were limited. She did have some really good songs on Mirage. In fact the songs on Mirage that are Stevie's are near perfection

I love this demo. I heard a Stevie Nicks demo version and I have to say I like this version better! Stevie Nicks recently recorded this one for her 24 Karat Gold album and, as much as I like the new version, this will be my favorite take on the song! It's great!

There was/is something really good there but they just didn't manage to shape it, etc. I love hearing this sort of thing, shows process. Can you imagine the pressure of being in the studio and dealing with feelings plus the need to just get the record (as it was called at the time) done, etc. Nice to talk about once it's over but while it's happening, etc. etc.

And this song didn't make it on "Mirage" because... because... ??? It's brilliant, and Stevie's vocals from that era are my favorite. It sure would have beat some of the songs that made the final cut.

What a terrific song. A real shame it was not released - by FM or Stevie herself. It was a joke almost from the outset how limited Stevie's role in the band was (always the fewest compositions/lead vocals). Today it would be described as Fleetwood Mac featuring (occasionally) Stevie Nicks.

I love this song. It's hard to believe that it didn't make it onto Bella Donna or Mirage. Maybe they could release an album of tracks like this one that didn't make it. I'm sure it would sell. This is an absolute gem of a song.

It goes on and on and on and on and on and ON! I love there 3-part harmonies. Chris always takes the road less traveled with her vocals.

I love the drumming on the Mirage album. So classic Fleetwood Mac Chris and Lindsey do such a great thing how they play around eachother
