Rumours hidden gem. Nothing less than tour de force for Buckingham and Nicks. Play it loud!

"Silver Springs" was left off "Rumours" to make room for this song, but Stevie gets in a sarcastic dig when she concludes the "And did you say that she was pretty, and did you say that she loves you . . . and can you tell me it was worth it?" lyrics with "really, I Don't Want To Know" on "Silver Springs."

Great song. It's funny when you think that Stevie claimed she sang the vocal "with a gun to her head" (or something like that), because she wanted Silver Springs, but LB and Mick told her it couldn't be used because it was too long. Heaven forbid Stevie (unlike Lindsey or Christine) have FOUR songs on one FM record! What would have been so wrong with putting Oh Daddy on the B-side of Go Your Own Way? Or Never Going Back Again?

John McVie's bass line seems so simple--until you try to play it and keep the rhythm steady. Mick Fleetwood's metronomic percussion is relaxed without slowing the beat, and Lindsay Buckingham's repeated guitar note crescendos, giving the song some urgency, again while keeping exact time. This is 70's bubblegum music at its highest level.

Then I'm sorry for my response because I also know Stevie is straight and I thought you were trying to say different. Straight AND classy. I love the lady. Do you think I'M a girl? I'm male and as straight as they come. LOL
