Girls you know

When you're in the mood

(In the mood)

You may meet a man

Can't do anything good

(nothing good)

But you've got to pity him

And ty to understand

(understand)

That a hero, a hero is so hard to find

When he takes you

For his love

(for his love)

And he tries to tell you

That there is'nt any other

(don't believe him)

Oh, he may kiss you

And tell you he'll miss you

(such a shame)

But don't forget, a hero is so hard to find

When he says hello

Don't forget they're all the same

(you know they're all the same)

You may end up sitting all alone

And with yourself to blame

Oh, don't you let him

So when he tells you

You've got diamonds in your eyes

(he's just lying)

Don't get carried away

Cause you know he's selling you lies

(he's just lying)

So when you get the feeling

The man you've got's no good

He's no good

Well just remember, a hero is so hard to find

Well just remember, a hero is so hard to find

Heroes, heroes are hard to find

Heroes, heroes are hard to find

Heroes, heroes are hard to find

Heroes, heroes are hard to find...

Christy is a true Blues singer. Nicks is inspiring but does not compare to McVie as a vocalist. Stevie knew this from day one. The sudden combination of a great blues band and a kickin LA artist turned out to be gold. The Sound City doc is great...

Gang. I give you John Kells, aka "Mick" Fleetwood. Posing in his undies with his naked five-year-old daughter....I will leave it to you to fill in the blanks...

Thank you so much for uploading this LP, with lyrics and all. I had this on vinyl and i wore it out. It's such an underrated jewel. All such great songs.

The pre 1975 Fleetwood Mac is so, so much better!!

I always thought Christine McVie was (is) a better vocalist than Stevie Nicks.Christine's vocals have a bluesy vibe that Nicks can't touch. Carry on.

Fleetwood Mac was never better than this. Equally good, but never better.

As far as I'm concerned, Fleetwood Mac didn't start to become "Fleetwood Mac" until Christine came aboard. I do wish they had recycled her "Show Me a Smile" from 1971's "Future Games". Give that a listen.

Chris had MORE than her share of #1 Billboard singles w/ them :)

This song would have fit in with the Buckingham/Nicks era of the band. The guitar part almost sounds like Lindsay's. The only thing that's missing are the harmonies that Lindsay and Stevie brought when they joined.

I agree. The title track is my favorite on this album.

Whaddya gotta do? This is straight-up soul from Christy and should have gone massive. Loved it when the album first came out, and still wondering why this didn't become a huge hit for FM.
