I dont know if anyone else posted something similar to this interp... I think the 3rd stanza could be a larger metaphor for life. The speaker is ”in the city (alive) only for a while”; the bile and fortune he faces symbolize the vicissitudes of life, the girl on the radio, possibly love. The whole song is about transitoriness, so it makes sense
