They were obviously lip syncing. You can see how Scott realises that Sean's part didn't have the words and hence decided to sing live. Yep, pretty darn obvious.

Dang it's sad how The ppl controlling the mic messed up on Seans part when he was singing at 1:53!... Sean kept looking at the control panel person like 3 times before singing because he knew his voice wasn't heard enough at all and then from there, they barley worked his mic on 2:01 =/ It's all good though because fans know he can sing his part real smooth! =)
