I will never get tired of listening to Prince Fishbone, or Bad Brains. Its a fact. its as true a statement as "I will never get tired of breathing air". Its burned into my pyche.Fishbone is such a part of me and was the first time I ever saw me making music I liked. I say me because its was slim pickens finding people of color doing punk or ska and doing it well. you had the Plugz, Bad Brains, and Fishbone. There were definitely people of color doing rock music and I sought them out but none moved me like Fishbone. They were ME and they were doing things that I loved and they were being accepted for it.they validated what I loved and made me feel a part of it. Fishbone told me I could listen to ska/punk, and Run DMC and still be black. Fishbone told me that a bass guitar was just as legit as metal shredding axe. Fish bone taught me that I could pogo or mosh and still poplock.Diversity is a good thing, Inclusiveness is a good thing, +FISHBONE is a good thing

They were so ahead of their time, when I see some of these bands on Vans Warped Tour, I think to myself "How many were influenced by Fishbone?""Wack a doo, wack a doo, wack a doo, wack a doo!"

What year did this video first come out?I can't seem to find the exact date anywhere. I remember back in the early 1980s, when MTV first went on the air and there were many other music video channels. We had a huge satellite dish in the back yard so we pretty much got them all. This was one of the first music videos I remember seeing that wasn't absolutely horrible. Good song too!
