this takes me back to a time with my first and only real love. we were both just out of college age. both of our mother's had died from cancer during our highschool years and we just seemed to make each other feel loved in a special way that I haven't felt since. this video was on demand and we would drink bottles of wine and stay up all night doing cocaine , talking, making love and listening to music, carefree kids in our 20's this was our fave song that we would listen to every night. after a couple years she had to move back to her hometown to be with her father. ill never forget that last night with her and seeing her white jeep pull down my driveway that next morning. I could feel for certain that it would never be the same and I had told her this many times before. we tried to make the long distance work and fly to each others town every couple weeks. i needed her and felt so lonely without her so i continued into the party but this time by myself. then before one of my flights to her she explained to me that this would be our last weekend together. this time she was right. i knew she had found someone. we haven't talked since that last visit , save for one drunken brief conversation years ago. she now has married and a kid. I wonder if she remembers this song and the good times like I do. life moves so fast at that age and especially when you are in love. I think of her often. I hope that she thinks of me at all. once you have felt that love it's all you can think about getting back and I have spent the last half of my life trying to find that feeling again. I'm afraid that I never will. your love is safe with me Claire. forever.
