@Swumhole I always thought the lyrics were kind of stream-of-consciousness, and didn't really have any concrete meaning. Davy does sound rather frustrated though, as evidenced by lines like "This band is my survival/I'm tired of this song!" - I suspect this was recorded not too long before they imploded completely. :)
