As much as I love what it Is To Burn...this album is superior in every way. One of the best and most underrated rock albums of the last 10 years.

I was lucky enough to see them perform this album live in SF in 2005 or 2006... best show ever, no joke...

Imo back in 2001 with their ep and the following year with their lp, I thought they sounded pretty different and unique from other posthardcore bands. I remember hearing them and being amazed, but then the following few years a lot of bands tried to take their sound and the market became saturated with finch clones. I love the new direction they took their second album and it took a lot of balls to go the more experimental and less pop route.

Good album on a song level but I think the overall pace of the album itself is what gave the critics a bad taste

Agreed. Along with Elemeht Eighty's The Bear and Index Case's self titled both also from 2005.

I think I heard this album and all I thought was....... "My god, this may knock both RATM self titled and Glassjaw everything you ever wanted to know; off the perch of best album of the last 40 years".... in my opinion.
