I like both versions. The hd version sound more beautiful and I like it a lot, and I also like the original version because its repetitiveness makes it very nostalgic.

I heard this in the game for the first time last night. I had to pause, so that I could hear it play all the way through. This is a great retake of the song.

DIdn't even realize they used the piano collections version : ) I was learning how to play some of it. They both sound good.

Too fast and forced compared to original takes all feeling away

Sounds like it came from the Piano Collections soundtrack. I hope that one they do the Kingdom Hearts II HD Remix that they use the Drammatica version of "The Other Promise". That would be fantastic.

I've had this as well as most of every other FF piano collection tracks on a playlist on my iTunes for quite a few years, so it's nothing new to me. I love the original and this equally, but I prefer the original in the game, and I was disappointed that they didn't use it. Kinda felt lazt to me. And no, it's not "nostalgia" taking over, it's just preference. The original hits home after Yuna and the gang are thrown down under Bevelle. This is a separate stand alone piece that doesn't really go with the game, no matter how beautiful it is. :/

I was surprised to hear this song again after owning the Piano Collections version for so long. This version feels more dreamy and innocent, the original sounds more haunting and foreboding. Both are beautiful in their own right, but personally the original suits the scene better in context.

I prefer this version over the original, but this one has one little flaw which a bit puts me off: It doesn't loop well.

When I first heard this, I thought it was very strange, probably because I'm used to the original version. But now I just can't stop listening D:

Why is the remaster so bad according to you? I think it's better even.

Why did they change any of the music? It was flawless and timeless. :(

Alright. I love both versions equally. Guess I need to cleverly edit them together or something.
