Man, and those DC kits sound so good!, I can only afford Gretsch kits, that's the best I can do.

cool, I'm glad you're trying it out. as I said I'll be explaining it better in the near future. I'm actually throwing the stick in a circular motion , therefore the fulcrum is totally loose thus allowing for great speeds and control of the natural bounce of the stick with no strain whatsoever . have fun

It's really cool, I actually tried this out a little after posting, but I think I was using too much pull from my back three fingers (gladstone) it seems this technique would take some of the fatigue out of your right hand when doing a fast swung shuffle or just fast single notes on the hi hats, I will have to get it just right.

Thank you all for your very kind words . the technique used on my hand I learned from a fantastic brazilian drummer " Douglas Las Casas" one of the best drummers I know. It's not Moeller, it's not push and pull , it's a very unique tech used mainly for playing brazilian grooves. the index finger over the top of the stick allows one to control not only the speed of the strokes but the accented and unaccented notes. I will demonstrate this more in depth in the near future

the pointer finger on his right hand must be destroyed, I'm not sure if that's proper technique but it sure sounds like it works!
