After visiting Liverpool since 1999 at Beatleweek, we got to see Gerry and the Pacemakers at Pier Head the place were the Ferry lands. This was a remarkable event. The Video is shot from quite a distance but I hope you like. Fragments of I Like It and How Do You Do It are at the end!

This was being sung in my mind as I slept last night. LAUGH! I had to find it this morning. It's so interesting how music and lyrics stick with you for a life time. I am 62, and listened to this song as a teenager.

I agree. Couldn't stand Amy Winehouse. Way overrated. Wouldn't even call her stuff "music".

Wow-after all these years they performed this sound again, can't believe it.One of my all time favorites.Considering the set up and location they really didn't sound that bad,in fact they sounded very decent. If they had a better set up on an inside stage with some acoustic improvements, they would have sounded AWESOME,amazing, after all these years.I was 13 when this song came out, still have my original 45rpm.Those were great times, never to return. You can have today.

@taikwondoman How much of Gerry and the Pacemakers' music did you listen to to make that comparison? If you can't comment without being rude, keep quiet.

@redchampions123 Fuck you. The Beatles did nothing to you, so there's no need to hate on them.

Gerry and the Pacemakers. Fill me in. Did they want to be associated with geriatrics and pace-maker defibrillators and whatnot, OR did the medical community steal the name for it's pace maker apparatti? A great name mighta been Counterfeiter and the Peso Makers. Really, I loved that song. I used to listen to it on the way to school in the 60s on my little Renault Dauphin AM radio. US music was already subccobming to payola and becoming pure zit face crap. Gerry was a real bright spot...

Liverpool sure turned out some great artists. I grew up with the invasion to America. Many thanks Liverpoolians - time to do it again. The music is crap over here now. Time to get some rhythm, blues, and soul back into the game. Were the Searchers from Liverpool also? Have to google them up I suppose. Of course, we had a few good ones too back then...like Jimi and Janis to name a few...
