Excellent cover man. Very well done. Yet I'm a slight bit wobbly on why you put comedy in the category box.

I also not recommend using AF for video shooting for the same reason hence my statement above just giving an option. I feel that it is easier to shoot video with the 60d because of the flip out screen. I use it alot when I pan low or high. The t2i is difficult because you either blinded pan or have to get low with the camera. Also the 60d gives you sound recording options manual, but the t2i and 7d cant do that. This only applies if you need the sound recording options and mess with that stuff

I would also not recommend using AF when shooting video hence my statement above. I only say that the t2i is difficult to shoot with because of the screen. When Im doing low panning shots it helps having the 60d flip out screen so that Im not as crouched over. Also the only other benefit having the 60d vs t2i is that the sound recording options can be manually done. You dont have that options with t2i and 7d. That is if you use that function.

Then of course attach your external mic to the zoom recorder, and manually set and check your levels. Lastly, consider getting a pull focus rig for your camera. dslr lens are really can have touchy focus rings and when shooting with a shallow depth of field it can be hard to accurately pull your focus by just using the focus ring on your camera (especially with the cheaper lenses). A pull focus rig makes it easier, and often smoother.

Also, get an external audio set up. You can get decent camera mounted rode mics that will plug directly into you camera's external audio port. However, getting an external digital audio recorder such as a ZOOM or something along those lines is definitely recommended, since the camera automatically sets the levels on your microphone.

Also, if you are thinking of using any dslr for professional work, an external lcd monitor would definitely be recommended. I have never desired a fold out screen on my camera, but I guess if you are shooting skate videos, or low perspective shots it might come in handy. I would recommend getting a 55mm low aperture lens, and shooting with all manual settings, always at 24fps 1080p, unless shooting slow mo for creative purposes.

I would disagree with your statement that the t2i is difficult to shoot with. However, it is what I learned how to do dslr videography with and maybe I'm biased. I would never recommend using auto focus in any situation as a videographer regardless of your rig. You lose all creative control when the machine is choosing the perspective for you. If were to walk on to any professional shoot, they have a man (generally an assistant dp) whose entire job is pulling focus.
