listen to black sabbath's symptom of the universe, n' then tell me they're not metal, judas priest isn't power metal at all... maybe just some songs in painkiller n' angel of retribution, but they've passed from rock n' roll, hard rock, heavy metal, n' a bit of power metal... n' deep purple isn't metal at all, but along with judas n' sabbath created heavy metal

I've never heard a Sabbath song I could call metal... I don't listen to them so if you have a song to prove me wrong then go ahead. Iron Maiden is heavy metal. Judas Priest is power metal... they basically created it. As for Deep Purple? I guess some songs could be considered but I would side more on hard rock.
