of course it's speculation. and it's based on my experiences and analyses. if you think it even further than that then everybody is right and nobody is wrong. but i personally wouldn't even want to live in a planet where people don't argue and have different opinions. thats like living in an organized society where people are replaced with robots. I'm still going to do things my own way. aka if i don't like something and the situation asks for my honest opinion i will express it without mercy.

The thing is: your thought that most people just want to be trendy is just speculation. Of course there might be a shitton of them or there also just might be a minority, we can not find it out because its music, and as I said it´s mostly opinion based. Until there is a detailed research with a lot of data you cannot form a theory or a rational opinion. And while I think diversity is a great thing, you can´t force people to it. It should come about by itself not by great philosophy or thinking.

And it's okay if someone is too much of a boring cunt to do what they want and express themselves without having to think all the time what others think. i just don't think those kinds of people are usually my type. My life philosophy is to do what ever the fuck i want and live as free as possible. nobody's gonna tell me what to wear or what music i should be listening. If someone tries bring me down i will hold my own and not surrender to his will. Freedom of speech and liberty all the way.

And i can clearly see that you think im just another long haired metal maniac who thinks himself as a tough motherfucker for listening hardcore music. im not. my musical taste is very diverse, but thats not the point. the point is what i earlier mentioned. most people wanna feel trendy and part of the group so they express it with different means(music,clothing,appearence etc). i believe individualism is the way it should be. too many boring clones around without their own free will.

nope you got me wrong. and i didn't mean i would hate a person for their musical taste, i meant i hate people who don't have their own opinions. But from the bottom of my heart i fucking hate people who are too weak to have their own beliefs and interests/opinions. i was wrong those people may not be dumb who listen to trendy music just cuz it's cool, they are WEAK. no thats not what i think. it's fucking pathetic to follow some trends that tel lyou what to listen and what not. sad but true many many many people only listen to music because they wanna fit in. you can deny it but i've seen it. dumb people write comments like: '' this is gay''. smart people with own thoughts may write more thorough in hope for creating a constructive argument. but if the music is shit i very rarely get lost in that shitty video so no need to even comment anything.

This is exactly what I mean. You think that your opinion is the right one because its your opinion. Even if it´s mass produced, unoriginal pop with the same old songtexts, it doesn´t mean that people that listen to it are dumb or that people that listen to metal are smarter. There is no rational way to justify an opinion on music. People just like it, because they like it. Not because it´s "REAL MUSIC" or because they play "REAL INSTRUMENTS" or any other bullshit.
