It's not a bad thing to open up soca to being mainstream even if it's to produce it through different genres ( electro dance ) etc. Our music on a whole will still hold it's origin but the cross over is for a broader audience .. Appreciate.Soca 2 the world !!!

Just because one is a soca artist or an artist who sings soca, that does not mean that's all they can or should sing. Some soca artistes are so versatile. They can sing any genre. I have had the opportunity to hear some soca artistes sing pop, R&B, soul, you name it and I was blown away at the depth of their talent. I recently heard Fya Empress sang "Sam Cook's A change gonna come" and she nailed it. So, you go Fayann show us all that you got; show that you're not limited and imprison in any box; show the scope of your talent; and to hell with those who can't handle that.
