The Requiem was my fathers favorite piece of music and I've loved it my whole life. Likewise, my Mother sang the Pie Jesu around the house. It was like the blood in our veins. I never hear it that I don't weep. We grew up listening to the André Cluytens recording. This recording is 5:58 minutes long and in searching around the web it seems to me that this recording is from Seiji Ozawa Boston Symphony Orchestra - Released October 6, 2003 Label © 2003 RCA Red Seal. It is a stunning recording!

This is beautiful but who're the performers? Should give credit to the performers.

this is truly beautiful. ive been blessed to sing both mozart's and verdi's requiems; mozart's will always be my favorite. but this is definitely equal in majesty and beauty

I can't listen to this without crying. I hiccuped during a performance of this with my church. This piece touches my soul so much. This piece for Jesus Christ makes me so happy and fully of emotion that I can't even perform it properly. Its so wonderful. I can't listen to it without balling tears. I tried so hard to perform it properly.

This movement has me blubbering. Possibly because my grandma use to play it a long time ago.

This is not Classical at all. Faure's music is considered late Romantic.
