I love Steppenwolf..... Have all of their albums up to "For Ladies Only".... & even though they were a little before my time I was only 5 years old when this album came out I still think these guys are great....

I must have been in the 60's cause I don't ever remember John Kay as being blind!! I was smoking some good shit back then!!! They say if you remember the 60's you were not there. Peace out!!!

This was the first rock album I ever bought. I kept playing this song over and over. Thought my parents heads were going to explode.

I had this on vinyl and my brother in law put it on cassette tape for me using an Ampex tape recorder. I then proceeded to wear out the cassette tape while tooling around in my Oldsmobile..

I heard this track on the syndicated Blues Deluxe radio show not too long ago. They play some really cool rock/blues music! I know you can listen on the net; not sure of the web address.

@Zepplica911 Yesss. Here is your basic 4-4 rock in its best form. I love Steppenwolf! They kept the basss sound in their music. Later we had singing groups that sound like they were on helium when they recorded. Steppenwolf is your basic "I got 4 guys here who can play rock and roll music and I'm gonna tweak it a bit and make it sorta psychedelic." Just great for the times. Lamar (I love Zeppelin too Zepplica911)

@humanjukebox58 That is where FM came in, because at the time FM was underground and almost unheard of, unlike today when that is the only frequency people listen to. They played all the good music none of that top 40 stuff. I am glad that underground classics are still being played on Sirius/XM Deep Tracks. If you have a Sirius or XM radio you will have to check them out on channel 27, because of them I discovered great bands like ELP, Ultimate Spinach, Spooky Tooth, and many others.
