yeah I'm with you on this one. If anything old atreyu was heavier and riffier...I think people hear the name atreyu and think of their poppy famous bullshit and don't take time to check them out. I'm into mostly Black dahlia murder, cephalic carnage, nile, etc and I think atreyu is amazing. too often metal fans stick the emo hating thing like religious zealots, seeing metal in black and white...

@halflifediehard What are some of their older songs? every video I've watched on here has comments about how much their sound has changed but I can't find any songs that sound particularly different, stylistically. Edit: disregard that, I just found their discog. so I guess I'll find out. The earliest release here (Between Yesterday and Today) is from '03, was there anything before that?
