This is my favourite song of the Falling Up concept album "Hours", from their "Machine De Ella Project"

Lyrics:

A weaker life will end up paid

For things down here, for things that stayed

Now some of us must move like shadows

And I must face a flashing site

A strobe, a pulse, a blinding light

So you can go, I will protect you

Run back toward home

Cover the windows

The screaming wind

The swinging hinge

Prepare your eyes

And hold fast the night

When the glow born hearts to sing

We're finally a beacon

Then our answered hearts will sing

We're finally a beacon

You run like rivers

Veins like gold

Like gold, like angels spinning ghosts

Like ghosts to walk the earth among us

For arcs and boones in darker yards

For all the heavy eyes of far

Believe it will return for you

This Luiz Fernando guy doesn't know what the heck he's talking about. Hours could be my favourite album of all time.

I really like this album musically, I just wish the vocal melodies weren't so boring.

I'm going to have to go: 1. Dawn Escapes 2. Crashings 3. Your Sparkling Death Coming 4. Captiva 5. Fangs That's without listening to these 2 albums of course.

I haven't heard either one, but they said that Hours is supposed to appeal to the older fans (Crashings, Dawn Escapes, Captiva) and Midnight on Earthship is to appeal to the newer listeners (Fangs, Your Sparkling Death Cometh). Personally I think the order of their bests goes something like this... 1. Captiva 2. Dawn Escapes 3. Crashings 4. Your Sparkling Death Cometh 5. Fangs

And then, there's Midnight on Earthship... That album is... weird. I'm still don't know if I like it, I think it's because of its moodyness, which is not something I'm used to with Falling Up. It also seems like it's been a bit rushed or underproduced, in comparison with Hours. Maybe I just need some more time with it for it to grow on me, I mean, it's not really bad, it just have a depressing feel to it.

My fave song from that album too. It actually pushed me up to shell out the $20 to buy the whole package (Hours + Midnight on Earthship), however, I'm disappointed so far. I think it's the worst work from Falling Up so far (worse even than Fangs, and I still kinda like it), and that's couting the whole package. From Hours, the only songs that stood out apart from Blue Ruins is The Contract and The Climb. The rest is forgettable.
