+800mEric Damn you must've been sleeping on fab's lyrics then because he comes with the most subtle genius punchlines, especially on his soul tapes but not only. Also "having an extensive vocabulary" ain't shit if you don't know how to use it in a genius way like Fab does. Ain't saying Lupe ain't shit, but you talkin' (pretty much) .. shit... If fab ain't lyrical noone is. Sure there are different levels of being lyrical as in having hard punchlines that hit ya, make you think DAMNN, and there are those that you can relate to and feel in your heart, and there are those that are just pure genius and make you think further. Well fab's got all of those, so I don't know what the fuck you talkin' bout fab not being lyrical.

Why would I hate on Fab? And I have been listening to J. Cole for 3 to 4 years now, rofl, I actually have a pretty good amount of variety of Hip-Hop in my music collection, sorry I don't over rate them when only considering their mainstream competitors, and not ones that are more obscure, independent, or underground.

Wow this guy is an idiot. Fab one of the best in the game and J Cole is too. You needa read up on your rap game and expand who you listen to. If you say Fab isn't lyrical, you must have never heard his tapes. But what would I expect from a narrow minded hater like yourself? Lol

This is pretty good.. but to this is better than Jay's is just foolish. Jay can probably be a top five rapper (no, actually the BEST) rapper with the breed of shitty rappers out there

You made no sense at all. For one thing, it's not understanding words, it's having a extensive vocabulary, second, Lupe didn't go to college as he was involved in a rap group after High School, and what I listed was aspects to a Hip-Hop song, or musical project that truly has a very well crafted substantive lyricism, and forms a very good crafted cohesive album. Fab has never made anything close to good as a musical project to ones I listed for example, or anything to Hurt Me Soul, The Cool, etc

THEN PLEASE LISTEN TO >THE SOUL TAPE< OR PLEASE STFU WITH YOUR STUPID OPINION.. Just because a rapper went to college and understands words and such doesn't make him a very good rapper. You're talking about lyrical and not just rhyming good, then please Listen to Ghetto Fabolous, and the hit single of off Real Talk called Breathe. You're saying you'll pass when we're telling you to listen to The Soul Tape, Young OG, BITE, One Day, Yall Don't Really Hear Me Tho, I can name many more..

I fuck with Fab heavy but how is Lupe overrated?

no way cole is better than Lupe. no way. F&L and The Cool are so much better than both of Cole's albums. although I will admit, unless T&Y is good then Lupe has fallen off forever.

I see your point, and I'm not sure why that person even brought up Lupe in this video... In terms of hip-hop, I'd say Fab and Lupe are about hand-in-hand in talent, Fabolous has punchlines that only educated and experienced people can understand, Lupe has the vocabulary and intellectuality that only educated people can understand... In terms musically, you should listen to more of Fabolous mixtapes, not just the There Is No Competition series if you're looking for the raw production that he has.
