Mea culpa. I remember Steve and Eydie but I was always more interested in his singing and rather ignored her. This is a magnificent rendition of a very beautiful and touching song. Now I have to listen to all of her youtube videos. Full warm vibrant voice and wonderful control.

Uh, I wouldn't say the gifted and wonderful Gorme was "equal" to Garland. Just play the latter's Carnegie Hall album. I agree that Streisand became very canned and icy by the early '70's.

Judy was equal to Eydie. But with all due respect, Streisand had a highly skilled, technically beautiful, but very cold voice, particularly as her heart became harder. Streisand could never have been as warm and personal as Eydie.

Day lacks the power and vibrancy of Garland, Streisand and Gorme. However, Day is more of a legendary voice because she sang with far more intimacy, flavor and style. And far more sex appeal. What hurt Gorme is she had a great, great voice, but she wasn't intriging, sexy or mysterious. Content to be "Steve and Eydie", king and queen of Vegas, rather than an artist who explored or grew. But, man, what a VOICE.

Well said. Gorme, Garland and Streisand. An unforgettable trio.

The woman had only two peers - Garland and Streisand. Nobody, especially today, touches such talent. RIP.

R.I.P. Eydie, what a wonderful, powerful voice! Thankfully I grew up listening to the Good music of the Big Bands and the great pop vocalists like yourself and Steve and learned to appreciate a true great voice. Your memory will linger on, and you will never be forgotten and we will be able to hear you through this venue for years to come.

Used to be, a woman would sing a song. Nowadays, it's like...honestly, I don't know what the hell it is. I just know I'd rather not hear it.
