I'm not trying to take anyone's spot light here.. But the football team shares the field with some pretty amazing people. The people who I call my very best friends, people I consider my family... The marching band. We march, and play, we don't toss a ball but we make magic happen on that field too, and I don't know if football players get this too.. But their is Just this feeling of being on the field and the way the light hits you, and how real everything becomes at one time.

My senior season is coming and I've never played a game of varsity. I'm scared I'm not going to play-again- being a dinky little 5'8" 165# linebacker, but I love this game. I love my city. I love my brothers, and I will give anything for them.

This song gives me inspiration so much. Back in high school I was never the football player, just a baseball player. Football coaches wanted me to play. So i did.. got my ass knocked down and hit so hard. Started the first 6 games. Then i got benched.. the last game of the season, i was sitting in the locker room with my teamates down and out. we were down by 20.. i remember walking back out on that field at halftime, this song was playing. i told my coach to put me in.. i could make something happen. sure enough i get put in at TE. First play i get hit so hard.. but i got up and next play i went for a straight.. quarterback threw me the ball, i caught it and ran up the middle breaking tackles hearing the crowd roaring. after that our team caught fire.. i scored another touchdown after that on defense. ended up with 2 td's, 4 sacks and 6 tackles. best thing ever.

Didn't play football until my senior year of high school. Always regretted it. People told me to start playing back in middle school and I ignored them. Please, if you're doubtful about playing, play. It was one of the best times of my life.

I remember every Friday before our games we would watch Friday Night Lights. Nothing could quite put me in the zone like that movie. Coming from someone who has played at almost every level-high school, junior college, and Division 1 football...there's nothing like the bond you share with your brothers on your high school football team. I'm still playing football today but I'd give anything to go back and play one more snap with those guys. My last high school game we ended up losing off a kickoff that got taken all the way back. I remember sitting on the field long after everyone left, crying like a baby because I'd never get to suit up with my brothers and go under those lights again. Be grateful you can play the best sport in the world and make memories with your teammates...they'll last you a lifetime.

I was 6'6 350 pounds, fast, agile. Never played a down in my life. Now I'm 23 years old and regret it every day of my life. I had it all to make it to the pros, but never played under the Friday night lights.

I'm a sophomore in highschool playing on varsity lacrosse team for the first year of my life in Boston. Last year everyone told me I sucked and I couldn't do it and that I would never be good enough to join a team of champions but I used their hate to turn it into aggression and I made one of the best lacrosse teams in the state with a group of brothers who I've learned to love and trust. This song really inspired me to strive for greatness #26

I miss it, I miss it so much... The team huddles, the punishment that we would get after practice, the quietness inside the locker room before a game, the bus ride to and back from a game and the brotherhood that was created. My teammates will always be family to me, no matter what

This song really reminds me of the season. I just finished my freshman year at Quarterback and Linebacker. No one thought I could play quarterback and I had self doubt at one point too, but I gave it my all and never looked back. Then in the playoffs we won a first round game by blocking a field goal at the last second of the game, next round we lost to the best team in the state. Before that game I didn't want the season to go on any longer bc as a freshman on varsity, all I was was a hitting dummy. I regret ever taking it for granted, I bawled after that game, surrounded by my brothers in blue and white. Never take anything for granted

Hey, this year I am going be a senior but still a junior hope to god I make this season last forever just like I did every year. last season we made history, we finally made it two the third round of the IHSA state playoffs. I play for Bismarck Henning High School, Illinois we were so close and held on for so much. At the third round we got beat, it was heartbreaking I can tell you that. In school history we made it that far but this season were going all the way. I'm gonna be a senior this year and im gonna miss it all.

High school sports are truly the greatest thing and its so bad because you never realize until its gone how much you miss waking up early on Saturdays running suicides, arguing, fighting with your teammates. Going through battles and adversity with them. Theres nothing like it. Playing for the love and the man next to you

Few things have I ever loved like playing football from my childhood days in the streets thru high school and college years, and beyond. In my 50s now, I'm more than a little banged up from high school and college sports, but I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. I've watched this movie, Friday Night Lights, a number of times, and not once has it failed to make me cry like a baby. My wife thinks it's silly, but then, she never played football.

Played my last ever game with a torn ACL and Patella tendon but did it to share the field with some of my best friends I've ever had. Walked off that field smiling and with a happy heart to have made that memory with them as we all shared and embraced one another.

In case you guys didn't know, this isn't actually EITS. The producers of this album just touched up an instrumentation that made it sound like EITS. It's a good song, but it isn't EITS.
