Artist: Exodus

Song: Impaler

Album: Tempo of the Damned (2004)

Lyrics:

Comes from the land where night is day

The people live in fear

Been this way for oh so long

Another four thousand tears

Everyday he hunts to kill

You know he can`t help himself

Same routine time after time

A way to seize the wealth

Drinking blood don`t mean a thing

Life means even less

Impale your wife, slay your son

Another gory mess

Born in hell, left to die

Now out for all your blood

Living his life day to day

To stake you to the mud

What you see, he don`t care

Now you bleed, start to stare

Cut you down, rip you up

Watching warm blood run

Crush your skull strike him well

When you land, just impaled

Freshly done, there`s no hope

Watching warm blood run

What you see, he don`t care

Now you bleed, start to stare

Freshly done, there`s no hope

Watching warm blood run

Impaler!

Whenever I hear this song I want to rip my nuts off and throw them into the stomach of an obese leprechaun

The lyrics in this are not the same as in the original. Does anybody know what the lyrics were in Paul's version? I can't find it anywhere, and I'd like to know :p

1:47 Trapped Under Ice by Metallica

This has been a long ongoing conversation since you last checked in, where I addressed most of what you mentioned here. First comparing 80s Thrash fans to teenybopper Bieber fans is uncalled for. Ride the Lightning was the record we were grooving to in 84-85, much less Bound By Blood. MOP blew everyone's mind with its creativity, POTF not as much. As for Impaler, lets get real here, it is obviously not better than Trapped Under Ice, it has juvenile lyrics, and is fun but has first draft quality.

Bobby Blitz, Chuck Billy, Steve Souza, Max Cavalera, Paul Baloff... they do not say the same. Hetfield is good (as melodic voice) but not the best in thrash scene, less in the all metal scene.

Metallica did not get played on the radio in 1984, nor were they known by the mainstream. Dude, they did world tours in 84-88 while still being in the underground. That is what I was talking about.

Just because they're more famous, richer, and get played on the radio does not mean they're better, it just means that you're a mainstream poser. Also Exodus is not played on the radio because of their lyrics, while Shitallica had to make "friendly" lyrics so they'd get played on the radio.......fucking scam

i'm sorry to tell you that you are not complex. you are ''simplex'' , and comparing bands, songs , and all these discussions about ''who is better , and what sux'' it's pretty shitty.

What? I have to be simple to understand the lyrics? The lyrics to this song are amateur, but Exodus would get a lot better as they grew as a band. I know I am not going to get any agreement no matter what I say, just look at the nonsense Matt W is spewing and he gets three thumbs up,he needs some classes in reading comprehension, but I digress... If I am too complex to understand it fine, but I think Trapped Under Ice is a better tune, and as an old metalhead I don't have to cower to any trend.

the lyrics of exodus are manly and artistic, do not criticize something that you cannot simply understand

popular does not mean good , and if the majority like it that does not mean something is as the majority says. grow up !

Make sure to say that in your comment. Seriously? The most popular "thing" of something is never the "best". The most popular form of music is R&B. Does that mean R&B is better than classical music? Fuck man. What the hell?

No my logic is better musicianship and songwriting = better musicianship and songwriting = legions of old school underground fans and hard fought critical acclaim by 80s thrash enthusiasts. The first 8 years were done with little if any record label help, no commercial airplay, no "rolling stone" support, it was all word of mouth by us fans and other musicians. Exodus is a good band, but coming from me, an old school thrasher from the day, they were always a second tier representative of thrash.

Your logic is that: more popularity equals better musicianship. With that logic: Linkin Park is "better" than Exodus because Linkin Park is more well known.
