Yes, they are. Being bigoted means being irrationally intolerant. If they hate gay people simply because they are gay, then they are bigots. I have studied the bible; I read almost all of the new testament, and much of the Old Testament. I tell you, that is a big part of the reason why I'm no longer a Christian! I've also read much of the Koran, and the two books say pretty much exactly the same thing. The two communities are the same, too: mostly good people with a fringe of evil people.12 years ago

I grew up Christian. That church went through three pastors and only one of them actually advocated peace and compassion. The other two were zealot fundementalists who advocated the stoning of gay people and mosque burnings. I discovered from some of my friends that their church leaders were pretty much the same. I even tried to get back into the whole religion thing in college and the youth leaders were all bigots and hatemongers. Spirituality is awesome, but religion is pure evil.12 years ago
