Recorded in Nashville for Columbia Records, and signed to Cadence Records in 1957. Duo split up July 1973; reunited in September 1983. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 1986; Lifetime Achievement Grammy 1997; Country & Western Hall of Fame 2001; Opry Award 1957.

My favorite duo. I've loved them since I was a little girl. This song is so wonderful with its upbeat tempo and positive message. 6 years ago, during my final year as a HS teacher, our school had a Teacher Talent Show. Using my old-fashioned cassette recorder, I recorded Phil's part of this song and then sang along with my tape for the show, doing Don's part live. (So I guess I was Phillis and Donna.)
