The part in the middle of the song feels like being in a peaceful otherworldly church...I used to be a hardcore druggie when this album came out... Annie nails how getting loaded feels safe and peaceful, so beautifully with her voice reaching upward...a brief interlude, like getting high is always way too brief before one comes down into the ugly cold world again.

My favorite part of the video was the melody from 3:01-3:48-where her voice range rises to heavenly heights-it brought tears to my eyes-so beautiful! Christopher, you did an awesome job of putting this video together!! Thanks for making it -Luv, Diane

Revelation 21:4, "and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."

Annie looks too young! A true artist with or without Mr. Stewart! I'm 56 years old, and have enjoyed the Eurythmics for a year or two ! Go Annie Go

Liked this song---never heard of this one even though I've always been an Eurythmics fan, until I bought a cassette with "Who's That Girl" on it----I was all into their music back in the day,and I've also enjoyed Lennox's solo stuff--especially "why" first her first solo album--that's also a classic right there,straight-up.

I first heard this when I was staying at a mate's flat in Notting Hill; that was nearly thirty years ago and it still sends shivers down my spine. My friend was trying kick his heroin habit at the time, and this song was very appropriate as for me it deals with drug addiction, which is what I think it's about, with it's references to shooting up with the "killing gun", the initial rush and the subsequent drain of emotions.

I just wrote about Anni Lennox and how I think she is a tremendous singer, and not comparable to anyone - but I did it from my daughters xxlovedrawingsxx name, not knowing that. Well, that's how it is to be an old woman at 42, not knowing the internet very well.:) Love you, Annie!

Annie Lennox is a tremendous singer that I have loved since the age of thirteen. Her voice, her appearance and her songs have indeed given me a lot. I have no other preferances, she's unike and a gift to humanity. I've not listened to music for several years, and I had almost forgotten all that. Then all of a sudden one of her songs came into my ears, and I recalled it all. I really love this woman for what she's doing.
