I find it fascinating how I can love a song and not it's message. At first it sounds as if the singer is appalled by the years of bloodshed but instead it seems more like they are a testament to Europe's strength and a part of history we should be proud of. Dropping "the" bomb is hardly a solution but I do love hearing the religious conflict going on in the chorus, as if one version of a god will triumph over another.I am an atheist US citizen of Eastern European descent raised by a Muslim family and married to someone raised in the Catholic faith. Needless to say, I have a lot of perspective to call from so I can both appreciate and resent the message in this song. Brilliant and controversial work and for that I love it.

This song can be seen as a rallying cry for Western civilization. As we speak, the tide of Islamic Fundamentalism threatens to consume and destroy the West and with it, it's ideas of democracy, individualism, racial and gender equality not to mention the idea that one need not be stuck in the same societal role their whole lives. These ideas are Humanity's only means of achieving salvation and a bright future. To ensure these things, we in the West MUST fight to defend them at all costs and not allow our enemies to shame us into extinction with what our ancestors did in the past. While what they did WAS terrible, it isn't like we've got the monopoly on shady pasts. Besides, we're at least trying to atone for our sins unlike other cultural groups many of whom STILL commit horrible crimes against their fellow Humans.

The Apocalypse shall be the most brutal battle the planet of Earth. In it, a ten headed dragon will arise. During the battle one of its heads shall be cut off. In this war, Jesus will return to face the devil in the most epic battle the world will witness

@Nikolay Todorov your religious statement is moot. All religions believe in their "One true god," and all are equally guilty of genocide against one another just because they disagree. This is a song about the blatant stupidity that Europe has had to endure, and said history is repeating itself because NO ONE LEARNED FROM IT. Listen to the Lyrics, or find them, then understand what it implies.

Since I have done a fair amount of traveling around Europe this means a lot to me, especailly due to the people I have met who have been effected by things like Communism.
