Eugene Wilde (real name: Ron Broomfield) grew up between West Palm Beach, Florida and Miami, Florida, and had hits on the R&B/Soul charts in the 1980s. Wilde grew up as part of a musical family, where his brother, Alfred, and sister Dee Dee, were R&B singers who had careers of their own. He got his start singing in the group La Voyage in local clubs. The group became Tight Connection, and was later known as Simplicious with his brothers and sister. They were known for the song "Let Her Feel It' in 1983. In 1984, Wilde wrote and recorded his first hit, "Gotta Get You Home With Me Tonight", from his self titled first album which made the tops of the R&B charts in 1984. Wilde's list of singles include: 'Don't Say No Tonight', 'Diana', 'Personality','30 Minutes To Talk', 'I Cant Stop This Feeling', 'Aint Nobody's Business', 'I Choose Your Tonight' and 'How About Tonight'. Wilde had duets with Sheena Easton, 'What If We Fall in Love', and a duet with Joanna Gardner 'First Love Never Dies' from the soundtrack of the movie, Rappin in 1986.

Wilde released four albums between 1984 and 1992, and he released a best of album of his top hits in 1996. During the 1990s and 2000s, Wilde has been prolific songwriter and producer, and has worked with a lot of R&B and Pop artists.
