Couldn't find the desired quality of this one either (on youtube), so I decided to put this up myself.

First heard this one in back to the future and it made me investigate a little further, apparently there's a ton of versions of this song. And the song is even a cover of one Called "Work with me Annie" or something like that. Well this is in my opinion the superior of all versions, enjoy.

The first version is "Work with me Annie," by Hank Ballard and the Midnighters. Several months later they came out with a sequill, "Annie Had a Baby, Can't work no more." Even Buddy Holly got in on the Annie craze with Annie's been workin on the "Midnight Shift." (all availlable on U-Tube). One eening on WLAC in Nashville, TN, the DJ, Gene Nobles played only The Wallflower, all night!

I heard this back in the late fifties by an unknown group on the Value label. The artist was unknown and the title was "Dance With Me,Henry".It was a ludicrous version of the song.I never heard the original until many years later. The male singer heard was Richard Berry,a songwriter who wrote and originally recorded "Louie,Louie" with his group "The Pharaohs" in 1957.Value Records didn't put the name of their artists on the label the way TOPS records did. There were four songs per record like TOPS and the others of the day.

This is not properly a cover, it is an "answer song" to "work with me Annie", with the same melody; it was something very common in the blues and r&b music of that period...normally it was a female song after a male one, like in this case.

Every time I hear this song I can't help but picture Goldie Wilson dancing. -- "Yeah, I'm gonna be... Mayor. Now there's a good idea; I could run for mayor! You just wait, I will be mayor. I'll be the powerful man in Hill Valley, and I'm gonna clean up this town." -- "Good! You can start by sweeping the floor." -- "Mayor Goldie Wilson. I like the SOUND of that."

maybe there's still hope in society and people still have culture and know beautiful old songs like this one. It's a fact, not everybody knows Etta James and Chuck Berry cause of "Back To The Future" (that is a great trilogy btw)
