Audiences need to be explicitly told, on the way in, that clapping along enthusiastically in what they imagine to be time is never, ever a good idea. "Oh look, he's strumming his little violiny thing. How cute - let's all clap along! " No! Bad! A good clip on the side of the head from a team of stop-clapping thugs would disrupt the concert, but would be a valuable lesson for the future.10 years ago
