"Never forgive, never forget" Old Dwarven saying. Thanks to your songs I know how the Dwarven miner's songs should sound like. One to none. I listen your singed stories from years and still I'm impressed of their impact.

A great song. Yesterday it was the Irish, today its Poles and Romanians. It's amazing how often the ruling class use this old, disreputable tactic to divide the working class. Don't lets fall for it again. As Attila the Stockbroker says in another song, "Bollocks to Farage and the Tory defector. Two pinstripe bastards from the banking sector". Its plain to see who is our enemy and who truly endangers our interests - the likes of Farage and the oligarchs who are buying up half of London and other cities, about whom dear Nigel is strangely silent. Foreign workers who come to live in Britain are NOT the enemy - they are our brothers and sisters."Workers of the world unite!"

It's a song about a Scotsman who went on the run from Argyll to Ireland. When he returns he's labelled as Irish/paddy because how he's changed and discriminated against by people in power. Even though he isn't Irish he proudly takes on the name of erin go bragh (ireland forever) because the point of the song is it doesn't matter where you're from that makes you different. It's who you are. and working class people from scotland, ireland, england, wales or anywhere in the world have more in common with each other than with the privileged people who rule the world.

Scots variation, about a situation in Scotland, rather than Ireland.

NOT 'Typical Irish Song' at all!!!! 'Auld Reekie' is a nickname for Glasgow, Scotland - and this is a Scottish song! :-)

I know that this is a Scottish song about a scotsman, but you can see why people would get confused, 'Erin Go Bragh' literally means 'Ireland Forever.' It's a pretty easy mistake to make...
