Here's a bit of trivia for you on this magical song... George Terry played the electric gutars including the Leslie guitar that starts off the song... The synth horns were played in one take by Albhy Galuten on New Years Eve and at the stroke of midnight right at the end of the tune, just before Jamie Oldaker broke into a shuffle, Auld Lang Sine was played... Tom Dowd kept it in the mix...

Love how he slips in the "Layla" lick. Very tasteful use of the synth. Kinda "Abbey Roadish" in sound and style especially with some of the guitar arppegios. The last part and the ending is just beautiful. I always thought that this period of his career was overlooked and under-rated. Wish he would do some of this stuff in concert.

The care, subtlety and restraint you've taken with these images do justice to this deeply wonderful track. Thanks.

I've been looking for this song for over 30 years. I heard it one time on FM radio at the cottage in Maine. Never could get that riff at the end of the song out of my head. Thanks.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

I have been singing this song to myself all the time since I bought the album the day it came into the stores...

Very good! If I can be a small contribution for someone's positive day, then that makes mine. Thanks.

Thanks for making this video:) It's becoming part of my 'have faith in the day ahead' morning routine.

very nice. . .around 2.27 he starts to use a few of the same chords (in the same, or similar progressions) as in "Another Ticket." I was surprised when I noticed this pattern of repetition on several other albums (Money and Cigarettes, Behind the Sun). I'll forgive him; even God creates things that look alike:)
