This is THE rock and roll dream team. Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Nathan East and Greg Phillinganes. No one does it better than these guys. No one can play a guitar with the soul of Eric Clapton except perhaps Stevie Ray Vaughn and he is not longer with us. Eric always said his goal was to bring a crowd do tears with a single note. I love Clapton, and love this song. However, it is eerily reminicent of "Storybook Love (Once Upon a Time)" from "The Princess Bride". youtube.com/watch?v=COhvCGJIw8M I believe that song was written and sung by Willy DeVille, but it is commonly associated with the great Mark Knopfler, who composed the soundtrack for that wonderful film. The trouble is both songs came out around the same time. Could be just serendipity. And if I would have to give the benefit of the doubt to Mr. Clapton.11 years ago
