That is from the Patty Boyd era. I was at Curtis Hixon Hall in Tampa, FL and heard the whole Layla album performed live in 70 or 71. I had this album. i remember Clapton from The Yardbirds and have always followed his career. Came really close to getting to getting to meet him when my manager was Sid Rudeau. I am still hoping to get to work with him before I leave this world. RAP is NOT music.

Random thoughts...I dunno if I was the weird kid growing up or if perhaps there were others like me, but I was so into music since I played various instruments--notably the guitar, the sounds meant more to me than the words. It took many yrs and to this day I'll be like driving down the road singing one of these old songs and it finally dawns on me what the words meant...even if I am by myself I'll sorta stop singing... hum a little lower n lower till I am not singing anymore and turn red faced at some of the lyrics to the songs I grew up with hahaha! Just thought of one by Eric Claptons man I used to love to play this song on the guitar growing up and I was probably in my late twenties before I realized what the words were and the meaning. Loved Bad Company too and was in my 30s before I realized some of the lyrics to those songs too lol!
