George Allen Miles, Jr., better known as *Buddy Miles* (September 5, 1947 – February 26, 2008.) This is one of the songs that he wrote for Band Of Gypsys. He heard Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood perform it at Madison Park, via his cellphone, the night before he died.#dapimusic #mymusichangout #rockmusic #buddymiles #drummer #singersongwriter #guitarist #recordproducer #electicflag #rubyandtheromantics #theinkspots #delfonics #wilsonpicket #mikebloomfield #jimihendrix #bandofgypsys #johnmclauglin #carlossantana #bootsycollins #thecaliforniaraisins #bornonthisday #bornonthisdate

This was the day before Buddy died -- they didn't even know he was sick. The next show they played it again as a tribute to Buddy...

YoNeville- the facts:From his own lips according to Clapton who gave interviews of the Garden concert, they only though Them Changes would make a cool fill song to do and they learned it. He said" we didn't even know he was sick". Clapton said when they heard he had died on the first concert night in their concert two days later they tributed the song to him. Clapton was quoted as saying "pretty eery we were doing a tribute when we didn't pick it as a tribute..and did the tribute 2days later."
