First off, this is one of my favorite songs ever. I just need some clarification. Is he saying that since his woman left him, he has been having a record year as in great sales of records year, or is it he has just been having a year of listening to good music. I know it sounds stupid but I am curious to know what other people think.

When Darius Rucker, an African American from Charleston, South Carolina, who was the lead singer for a local band," Hootie and the Blowfish" made the jump to a solo career and began singing Country Music, it should have shown a light on the music screen for what is today. This is the greatest time in the history of Country that so many bands and singers alike are making quality music that is overshadowing all other genres, and is leading the United States in record sales. Basically, Country Music, for some like me has become the music of choice similar to what Rock and Roll did in the 70's. The artists are seasoned and the music is a cross between what Country Music and Rock and Roll together are now. The astounding record sales and the local participation in this type of music lead me to think this is to be one of the greatest times in the history of music as we know it.

I think he sucks. Puke Bryan too. Rock won't have him. Pop won't even look at himCountry is dead 15 years now. Guess I'll go back to classic rock. See ya!
