Umm, did anyone else wonder why Eric had obviously mugged a senior citizen at the local golf course and stole the Ol' Guys golf clothing to wear on this episode of The Midnight Special?! Before I noticed his clothing I began wondering why he had asked his stylist to give him the Richard Simmons hairstyle!?! He sounded great though..... (and yes I grew up on the 70's)

Shaun Cassidy was adorable -- and still is! -- and he did a decent job on the remake of this song but, live version or studio recording, I think the original shines brightest in this case. Shaun was just having fun for a little while; Eric Carmen is the real deal.

Eric deserves to be in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame but he's not - no wonder most of us call it the Rock n' Roll Hall of Shame!

This almost was a Raspberries song. It should have been. It would have been better as one. Everything about this song sounds like it would have fit right in. Looks like Michael McBride playing drums.

I agree this live version might be the best version of this song but I'm sorry, the Shaun Cassidy single isn't bad and I think his studio version cuts Carmen's. Cassidy certainly can't be considered to be a real artist like Carmen but he was competent enough to sound like a champ when he was given the right song and support in the studio; Carmen, on the other hand, was somehow weighed down with the conflict of being an artist and AOR production values that dominated his post-Raspberries output.

No! They had a falling out at that time. They didn't reunite until 2004 but have gone their separate ways again. Sadly!

That's Rock N Roll is accurate because this performance ROCKS!I love this song and this performance.I miss when they had music shows like Midnight Special.I was just a child in the 70's but my family would watch all of these shows.Thanks for uploading this.
