A beautiful & poignant song. I agree with Stephen Scott's comment below. This song must have helped so many people in coming out & realising they are not alone.

Too many posts relating to the fact Andy bell is gay...If he was straight would we be talking about his sexuality (another great song)? The fact is that Andy and Vince are music icons and their music has brought joy to millions...my teenage years were spent listening to andys wonderful vocal range and vinces amazing musical range and the lyrics made me believe in love!

Captures the feel of the TEA party movement. A scared Alex P Keaton type with hippie parents, one thats works at PBS even... Hows he going to tell them he believes they are taxed enough already? Dont be afraid Alex...we'll still love you

captures that moment of coming out in the 80s, with all the fears (that luckily for me proved groundless)... wonderful song...

I can't say how much this song helped during my 'coming out' process. To know that there were others out there suffering the same thing.F&*% all the haters. You are who you are, and you are awesome!Love will heal your broken wing.... Learn to be brave!!!!!

This song moves me. I'm a straight male but the emotion is real. Some day in the US we will accept gays. No more need to hideaway. Andy and Vince your music moves me.

The soundtrack of my late teens - Wonderland - The Circus - The Innocents , any band would be proud to have those 3 albums in their CV , absolutley tremendous stuff!

I feel this song transcends the "Coming out" intentions it obviously means to a lot of people. I think it could be about any situation that you may be afraid to tell your loved ones about, from fear of rejection or from any negative consequence. As for being straight or gay, if you like the song, it shouldn't matter, your sexual preference. Music does different things and means different things to all of us. I feel sorry for anyone who feels they can't enjoy good music, because of Society.
