Epica - The last crusade

Please mark and comment

Lyrics :

Magna culpa nostra

Poena danda nobis

Usque ad finem erit dierum

Ad finem temporum

You can't force yourself upon me

And you never will

You can?t keep digging in

Desecrated graves

No more innocence left to spill

Don't be afraid, participate and

Just give us all your trust

Your soul will be saved

Just honour me, I'll set you free so

Get ready to join the

Very last crusade

You can't get away with your crimes

And you never will

For you'll have to pay the price

And this time is near

No more innocent left to kill

Get ready to taste the

Final victory

Ok seriously. If you guys really study his/her English, you will start to question. I don't know if English is your first language or not, but based on your flag, you're from the states. Honestly, who are you? Where are you from? Like I said, study this guy's English closely, and you'll start to question.

I believe the correct lyric for 2:39 is "No more innocents left to kill"...

Looking back on the lyrics I can see that what you say does make more sense. I just needed to read over them again.

I don't think there's a dislike towards religion so much as a dislike towards religious extremists and the misuse of religion. Be it hypocrisy like in Cry for the Moon or using religion as a justification for crimes like in Façade of Reality. Because there isn't anything really wrong with religion and a form of beliefs, but it's the way those beliefs get misappropriated that can create seriously bad outcomes.

Admittedly their religion is unimportant but from what I've seen they are neither Christian nor Muslim. In the album We Will Take You With Us there seems to be a strong dislike towards religion.

I don't think it is correct to say it is religion that moved the masses to war, I think it is rather men using religion as an excuse to war, and that the lies and deceit are the properties of men who desired power and found an easy excuse in religion rather than the religion itself. After all the vast majority of religions hold 'Do not kill' to be a major duty of believers.

THEY ARE HUMAN and that's enough to respect them and their opinions and beliefs... I'm muslim , you are christian , he is jew.... WHAT'S THE PROBLEM ? i see really nothing wrong in that !!

Although in some cases it is very true, it's still a great exaggeration.

Throughout history into present day, it has always been religion using lies and deceit in order to move the masses to war.

The song could also be about the Crusades. In the Crusades, Catholics and Islams used lies and deceit to have people fight on their side against each other to gain control of the holy city of Jerusalem.
