I personally don't believe that there is anybody on this earth that does *not* want peace. However, as long as there are separate countries, government types, and ideologies- there will be strife. When there is strife people will push to have their way become the dominant way, and push will always come to shove, leading to hostilities.For world peace there can only be one banner for people to be under, and that means one government, one land, one people- thus unity is inherently forced. But, for example, democracy, communism, monarchy, and other governments clawing for control, with none of them showing signs of real change (Russia's "democracy" is incredibly corrupted and China is still ruled by a Communist party for examples), unity is looking far out of everyone's reach.The quickest way for world peace is, sadly, through war. If one side were to dominate the rest of the earth then there would be nothing left to fight for, everyone would be united, forcefully. In time a longstanding peace would emerge but the cost would be extremely high.Sorry to get all political, just posted that for the disillusioned people who think "If America just stops sending its troops to other countries there would be world peace." or anything along those ignorant lines.
