I looked up the lyrics to this, and they're amazing! Was it a translation, though? Is this in English? I couldn't make out the actual lyrics, even reading it.

Douse any one find it wierd how these guys never had anything to do with mayham or darkthrone? Most black metal bands from enslaved's country all knew or met eachother some how yet enslaved never did as far as i know .

Remastering a song changes the atmosphere of it, and in most cases ruin it

I can hear the bass, and this is a shitty stream. It's thumping like crazy!!, anyone else ever seen Enslaved bass tabs :P?? PS: there's very little out there to give you this cozy feeling like Grutle's vokillz!!!

very true, i can see both sides to the argument. il always enjoy the original, but a remaster i would definitely give a good listen to as well.

I understand the idea of preserving the feel of the original recordings, but I think that the music would speak for itself. Better mastering would just mean that you could more easily pick out the different parts of the songs, which really only makes the experience better for the listener. Nobody wants to autotune Gorgoroth, that would sound like shit, but I wouldn't mind hearing the bass work that gets lost in the mountain of reverb that old Black Metal albums were generally buried in.

ya know, i actually wouldnt mind hearing one. its hard to tell if i would like it more, but death's albums have been remastered and i love them even more now

the raw-ness is part of the atmosphere, my friend :) An important component of the awesomness!
