Surely Tom knew that the narration would have been from the 30s or 40s . You can put any narration over vintage video from the last 110 years/ This could have been made yesterday to appear as a 40s theater intermission piece. Most likely though this is from a 1940s reel, when these short pieces were popular.Excellent Tom!

Could be a wrong date as far as the speech is concerned. Maybe part of a later documentary.

I believe the date may be wrong, since most films did not have sound until around 1927. Great newsreel footage though.

Oh, how wonderful to see these clips. Caruso reportedly shouted, "Give me Vesuvius," upon returning to New York six days after the earthquake and refused to sing in San Francisco again. The Met didn't go back for 42 years. Thank you. This was so enjoyable.
