Do not misunderstand me, I do not deny the right to make profit, ma together with this I claim the duty of a social utility for any enterprise, bank included. Most of the wealth now is created but financial tricks, and this creates a debt, that me or you will pay in a way or another, soon or late. That's what happened in Greece. Bank do not take sustain real economy, because the prefer loe risk high return, and this is bad for anybody.14 years ago

@silverhawkroman I disgree with a neo-liberal positivist concetion believing in the social utility of financial groups, banks and market. World Trade Organization too makes a lot of disasters, and problems like subprimes brought an increasing of the poverty among lower social classes also in reach countries. Recent uprising in North Africa, and in Greece before, and in Italy very soon, also show that most of the poeple are not at all helped to handle business.14 years ago

@silverhawkroman, ok, let's say in this way (just my opinion, of course).this economic sistem and this financial system, increase on one hand the wealth for some social group, and on te other hand increase the number of poor poeple. And if you are poor, you cannot study, cannot impove your social position, have almost no rights. In my country, only the 10% of people possess more than the 42% of the national wealth. ANd you,my greek friends, should know it, because EU has compelled greek government to take a series of economic measures that made poorer a lot of honest greek people, having any duty to pay for they bad politicians, loosing job, pension and future, while they have the right to live a life (soon the same thing will happen in Italy...)
