Do you think the combo sound similar. because the combo is only a 1x10 cab... (it cheaper)

I know this is the 15 watt, but you've got your volume on halfway, does your power tube fuse blow or light up?

Hi Ola, can you test the Hughes & Kettner tubemesiter 18? thanks man

Why wouldn't you use it for rehearsing though?

Has your power tube fuse ever blown yet? I've got the 30 watt and it has blown twice and it's been on volume 5 for rehearsal always through a 4x12 cab

Sounds awesome, hell yeah. This amp wasnt on my radar for small heads but now it is!

two resistors that switched places. when used as a boost you wont hear any significant differences, and even used as overdrives the difference is rather tiny imo.

jet city jca22h. costs less than the engl and a tiny bit more than the blackstar, but sounds better than both imo. here, have a look: /watch?v=w0n4Kf5d3AA read the description, the last sample is with the stock tubes. or for a bit more, get a krank rev Jr pro or a kaos sludge 15/30

Not to mention that the gigmesiter is a hybrid amp withh a SS front end. Check the ENGL website view the manual. It has 1 preamp tube I assume it's the phase invertor

dont do that, just get a good attentuator for it. the gigmaster doesnt sound as good as the mk iv, it's the worst sounding engl imo (that comes from a very happy blackmore owner) and the mk iv has more features and is more versatile. if you really want a smaller amp: kaosamp sludge 15 (ola just made a vid about that one, it's custom shop but affordable), jet city jca22 (pretty much a 20 watts soldano) or krank rev jr pro. but i'd say an attentuator will be the best choice for you.

ENGLs sound really good on low volumes, but I wouldn´t replace it for a mesa. I`ll bet you will regret that for the rest of your lifetime.

im thinking about replacing my mesa mk iv for this 15W amp, what is your opinion? basically playing/recording at home and th mk iv is just too much and cant get all it has to offer in home volume.....
