Anyone who says that Emperor don't have some of the most complicated songs in black metal is fool. I may have flailed in a part or two, but for the most part my playing is pretty clean. Unfortunately there is a bit of a sound delay on the video, and that is just because of how the camera films. I also have a feeling that the camera may have skipped some point during recording because it's a bit worse for this video than usual. It's not horrific though, it's still bearable. Feel free to like, comment, favourite or leave constructive criticism. Thanks for watching.

well ihsahn parts are not "so simple"... samoth lines are simple but the ones who play ihsahn are pretty complicated to do clean and and bright as he does, especially when time speed up. it depends from the album and song

ok emperor are deadly in fact i just finished watching live at wacken 2006 but there songs are very simple on guitar for the most part theres nothing thats really complex, i would say practise on your timing man you went out of time countless times in this cover,not the worst cover ive ever seen but if i was you id practise alot make a new video and take this one down. just being honest

Yea I had a feeling a few parts were different. It's a hard recording to decipher by ear but I think I did a decent job. Definitely upload yours though, I wanna check it out!

And you think it's hard by ear? Got the tab book in front of me (fuck yeah) and its much harder than the way you play it. Thinking of uploading a cover but I'll need to practice it first haha!

For most of my other video's though the sound quality may not be as good, I only recently started doing the audio like this. I plan on slowly getting around to redoing most of the older ones, especially my Coldworld and Blut Aus Nord covers.

Thanks for the kind words man. I learned this partly by ear and partly by online tab. Yeah, that part at 4:00 is tricky when trying to keep it consistent, it's very easy to screw up. Same goes for the part at 1:47, it's hard to get all those notes to stand out while switching that fast during tremolo picking. That part in particularly took me a while to learn, I still screw it up sometimes. I've been thinking of getting that tab book, it seems great. Check out my other videos too! Thanks again.

thus spake the nightspirit has to be one of the most difficult songs they have and indeed they have the most complicated and harmonic songs, i can send you the tab book by facebook, it has the "hardest" songs by emperor, made by ihsahn. And the cover, you did good, though 4:00 and afterwards, try practicing more, if you learned the song by ear, good for you, you hit the right notes, keep making videos.
